Back in the saddle
Things have been busy here at CUDUC for the past few months. I don't really have time to explain (16 hour days, 7 days a week does not admit much time for ranting and raving on a blog), but I will fill you in on some highlights:
- I went to a research conference in Rome for 10 days
- My bags only made it to Rome for 8 days, and did not make it back per se
- I actually worked on the scene estimator, which means that I got my other projects under control enough to free up some time for it
- It snowed another foot or so last week
- A certain fellow left his job to rejoin CUDUC, and we are lucky to have him back
- The team poisoned-Kool-Aid drinking day has been postponed until the day after site visit, as we felt bad knowing it was the only deadline we'd actually hit properly.
With our old friend back on the team, we've managed to lure back the entire set of CUDGC power players... except one. Alan, if you're interested in leaving Microsoft, we have plenty of low- or no-paying jobs for you! The benefits packages are, ...err, great!
