Cloudy with blowing snow. Current temperature is holding steady at -2o F, with a wind chill of -31o F. Winds are gusting at 17 mph. No joke. I passed a yeti on the way into the lab. This is what life is like on ice planet Hoth.

took me THREE HOURS to get back to SYR.
highway 81 was closed for an hour. i mean, people turning off engines and walking about chatting closed.
...And even when i wasn't sitting in the middle of the highway reading a book, i was usually busy tailing some poor dude in front of me, at 5mph, because often times no one could see the tail/hazard lights even though they were only a meter away. Real problem was -- you just couldn't see the road.
fun! (actully, the end -- passing people at 70mph and praying to the his noodly holiness that the car would keep something resembling traction - now THAT was fun)
